As we watch the government trampling on the rights of others, read this from the 1940s in Nazi Germany by Lutheran Pastor Martin Niemoller.

The Golden Rule needs dusting off! Why did it fade?
It only makes sense that the further Biblical values are ousted by the ‘powers that be’ and as ever more humans deny the God of the Bible has accumulating consequences. Reminds me of a testimony I heard on the radio of which a then saved ex terrorist whose testimony’s sketch goes like this: When he terrorized a Christian man threatening his life with a gun pointed at him, the Christian told him God was watching, the terrorist told the man since there was no God there was no reason not to shoot him dead. The Christian man in his last minutes offered him to take his Bible after. The fact that the terrorist had a testimony is also yet another miracle of the Holy Spirit’s work within a stubborn heart. 2 Timothy 3 sure details out what we are experiencing today.
