Bureaucratic War on the Amish, Health and Religious Freedom—7 things you should know [Video]

The government bureaucracy is at war… with the Amish.

That’s right, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is at war with the Amish… health, freedom, and religious liberty.

The ideological bureaucrats have targeted one Amish farmer in Pennsylvania, Amos Miller, who’s been in business for over 30 years.

Miller claimed in court filings that the government is “violating his rights.”

Miller claims his Organic Farm is a “private organization” with private members who want natural, organic milk, meat, and eggs. Miller says he only sells to members, and his private arrangement with customers exempts his farm from oppressive federal regulations.

However, in 2019, a judge ruled that Miller must comply with the United States Department of Agriculture’s regulations requiring his operation to be federally inspected—and basically shutting his business down.

Here are 7 Things you should know about the bureaucrat war on the Amish

#1. The Amish are Christians, but different in world outlook

Across America, the Amish turn back the hand of time, living a simple life, free of many modern conveniences and modern outside influences. Part of their Christian beliefs date back to the Puritans; therefore, they try to maintain life “off the grid.” Most don’t use electricity, phones, appliances, chemical fertilizers, or any type of automation. Their farming techniques also reflect this commitment to living a Puritan life. Pasteurization and other modern food processes. This makes their foo

d all-natural, organic, unprocessed, healthier, and delicious—It’s food the way God intended.

#2. The USDA has declared war on the Amish way of life

Power-hungry, unaccountable, and ideologically driven bureaucrats at the USDA have selected one Amish farmer to make an example of. They’ve used coercion on Miller to force him to comply and go against his religious beliefs.

Everything must be under the government’s control—Anyone who defies or objects to the ‘central planners’ and the big government dictators must be eliminated or destroyed.

The unlucky target of their wrath is Amos Miller, who is now faced with a $305,065 fine and potential jail time, and the closing of his business.

#3. Pushing Organic: The government’s way– Duplicity

Miller has been selling fresh raw milk and cheese, eggs, grass-fed beef, fruits, and vegetables free of pesticides- all natural and organic, all free of chemicals and an

y processing.

The USDA is doing this with $300 million of tax money, giving it to larger corporations to be more organic.

It seems some farmers, namely the corporate conglomerates, will benefit, but small-time farmers like Miller are to be quietly erased from existence.

#4. Religious exemptions protecting 1st Amendment rights

The Amish have always used religious exemptions and the protection of religious freedom to live according to their conscious.

Miller tried to use his religious exemptions and 1st Amendment rights to protect him from submitting to the artificial processing that the Biden bureaucracy is demanding—But they aren’t recognizing his rights.

#5. The Bureaucrat attack is an assault on freedom itself

The government should not be choosing and dictating what you put into your body.

Socialism regulates and controls the type, quality, and production of food. In a free society, the individual chooses, not an unelected bureaucrat.

In Miller’s case—and for any organic or Amish farmer, shouldn’t be burdened by arbitrary and unnecessary regulations.

#6. The issue is raw milk

Raw milk has long been a target by county and state governments. Under the Obama administration, it became a national issue. The government doesn’t want people to choose.

Miller’s troubles began in 2016 when the Obama USDA claimed to have found Listeria in samples of Miller’s raw milk. Their investigation found the Listeria to be the same strain that was found in two of Miller’s customers— one customer died.

The judge in the case ordered Miller to “cease and desist” selling milk and other dairy products and meat and ordered armed marshals to use “reasonable force,” if necessary when inspecting his farm.

Miller, his family, his employees, and his customers are now all suffering under the heavy hand of the USDA.

The customers aren’t being forced to buy… It’s a voluntary transaction. It’s a free society at work.

The socialist says using government force protects people who don’t know better from making noble and right decisions. But the reality is that the bureaucrat socialists want to control, not freedom.

#7. It’s for their own good

In a free society, people have the right to make their own choices. That’s what has made America the envy of the world and why millions want to come here.

The Bill of Rights and the Constitution is supposed to ensure that the government can’t overstep its authority and trample on our rights. It’s in place to avoid government overreach.

It stops a bureaucrat from acting unjustly.

It prevents an ideologically driven mission for “safety” from stifling different ideas and beliefs.

The Federal government should not micromanage the economy and choice… and neither should the state and local governments.

It’s wrong and should not be happening in America.

I don’t want my taxes and insurance increased, because a rancher insists on selling tainted (because not inspected) milk and milk products. Everyone suffers and that’s why the government is entrusted to, by law, inspect milk, etc.

My local superette sells raw milk, and I’m assured it’s not tainted, because it’s inspected.

I wonder what the victims’ relatives and friends think.
