It’s a victory for kids and parents, and it took a courageous Pastor to be publicly shamed by local scho
ol board members.
Pastor John Amanchukwa stood before the Indian River County School Board in Florida during a meeting and opened a book he brought with him.
He addressed the board members, reading passages from the “board-approved” book that is available to children in the school library.
The book he read was 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, which depicts graphic sex scenes, including rape.
As Amanchukwa read from the book to the board, a board member yelled, “Sir, I’ll stop you there.” He was then shut down by the board members, who turned off his mic.
Before he could say anything else, security guards came in and hauled the Pastor away.
Earlier in the yea
r, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis instituted a rule stating that parents “shall have the right to read passages from any material that is subject to an objection.” The rule also says that if parents are prevented from doing so, then the materials they are objecting to must be removed and discontinued from use in the school.
One of the school board members, Jacqueline Rosario, said she “was the only member to vote to remove the books last year, and until the new rule was instantiated, other board members ignored laws on pornographic content.”
She continued saying, “The superintendent and board members refused to acknowledge the gross content made available to kids until now. Finally, they don’t have a choice. It’s about time the truth be made known. Explicit, sexually graphic, pornographic, and obscene material does not belong in any school.”
If it’s too graphic for adults at the school board meeting to hear, why is it okay for our children to hear?
What do you think?

It is evil insanity at every level. Blessings
We should send this to school board members in our state and county. It would be good for them to hear what things are not appropriate in any school setting! Our State Departments of Education should also hear this. We need people on our boards and education professionals who have great moral values! Vote them in.
Maybe Mr. DeSantis instead of running for Pres., should relocate to CA and save us! I would gladly read to a Board anything in the library that is disgusting in order that little eyes and ears could be spared.
This is what every state needs:
“Earlier in the year, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis instituted a rule stating that parents “shall
have the right to read passages from any material that is subject to an objection.” The rule
also says that if parents are prevented from doing so, then the materials they are objecting to
must be removed and discontinued from use in the school.”
In order to conform to that recent law, the school board, unanimously, ordered twenty, IIRC, books removed. so the subject is moot.
None of this kind of material should be in our public schools!
Give all the explicit books to school board members to take home to read them to their grandchildren! Done with all this sick content they shove down the throats of children!
It would be interesting to ask those school board members, face to face, just exactly why they think the porno filled books are okay for children to read. What is their basis? Would they agree to sit down with an audience, their children or grandchildren, and read one of the books aloud. I doubt there would be one board member who would agree to do so. And if they did want to do such a terrible thing, the only conclusion would be to confront them as worshipers who perpetuate the devil.
