1,000 to 2,000 students showed up at Ohio State University…
But not for a football game… For a revival.
Ohio State University football players helped organize the revival and drew hundreds to the event to pray and worship rather than play a football game.
Their goal wasn’t to kick the football over the goalpost, it was to “lift God’s name high,” said former Ohio statewide receiver and event organizer Kamryn Babb.
Dozens were baptized…
“God truly showed up,” said one player.
The players collaborated with local churches, which helped distribute 10,000 Bibles.
Speakers included wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, running back TreVeyon Henderson, tight end Gee Scott, defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, and former team running back Master Teague.
“This event was truly to bring true joy and peace that I believe in, that I think we all believe that can truly only be found in Jesus Christ and bring it to Columbus and to the campus. God is right here. He is a very present God. He is seeking after the hearts of men and women of all ages, all sizes, different backgrounds,” said Babb.
“He delivered. He saved. And he healed a lot of great people that we’re in a hurting position, just like I was my whole life before I met him,” he said. “Put faith in Jesus…and you will find a love and a peace and joy that is unlike anything that this world, or any person or any touchdown or anything or anybody can give you.”
The revival at Ohio State University is a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith in Jesus Christ.
Seeing these young athletes use their platforms not just for sports but also to share the gospel and glorify God is truly inspiring.
In a time when our society is divided and searching for answers, this event serves as a reminder of the hope and healing that can be found in a relationship with Jesus.
