There is historic persecution against Christians worldwide. Christians face discrimination, loss of jobs, beating, jail, total censorship, and much more.

And, yes, death. Thousands killed for their faith in Christ and nothing else. And there are “targeted Christians.” I will tell you about one “targeted” Christian family my wife and I met in a minute.

There are over 360 million Christians being persecuted worldwide.

North Korea is the most hostile place for Christians. Christians have no freedom of worship, and if discovered practicing their faith, they face labor camps and death. Even owning a Bible is a serious crime of jail, forced labor, “reeducation,” and worse.

In India, over 1,750 Christians were arrested without trial in 2022.

Bible burning, church destruction… terror by the radical Hindus.

My wife Shelly and I got back from listening to the amazing testimony of a Christian family that had been targeted to be killed, but were able to flee thanks to the love of Christians in America attempting to help.

Let me explain 4 things you should know:

#1 “The Persecuted Church” versus the “Targeted” Church.

The “Persecuted Church” are Christians facing various types of persecution, even death.

But the “targeted” Church are Christians that are specifically targeted for death. We see this in Hindu areas such as India, Communist areas such as China, Buddhist areas such as Myanmar, and Muslim areas such as Iran.

Right now in Afghanistan, there is an estimated 400 people being targeted that are in hiding and running that need rescue.

#2 “Conversion laws” are the key instruments for killing in Hindu, India and Muslim countries.

Conversion by Muslims to other faiths is forbidden under most interpretations of sharia, and converts are considered apostates (non-Muslims, however, are allowed to convert to Islam). Muslim clerics equate this apostasy to treason, a crime punishable by death.

Across the Middle East, Christians have been murdered by their governments under the “conversion laws.”

In India, the “conversion laws” state that no person shall directly or indirectly convert from one religion to another by misrepresentation, force, undue influence, coercion, allurement, or by other fraudulent means or by marriage. People are also not permitted to abet, convince, or conspire such conversion. There is a $50,000 fine or both– Converting women and minors invites four years of imprisonment. Similar mandates give higher punishment for converting the lower castes in India.

And across India, Christians are being persecuted by the “conversion laws. “And yes, when “conversion laws” are in the land, no evangelism is allowed – it’s illegal.

#3 The family Shelly and I recently met were specifically targeted for death: “targeted” Christians.

Recently Shelly and I met new believers in Christ who were told they had to denounce Jesus Christ and convert back to their Muslim religion in a Muslim-controlled country.

They refused.

The husband and wife and children were all targeted for death.

The Judge was about to sentence them to death per the “conversion laws.”

All they had to do was renounce their faith in Christ. Instead, they stood firm.
They had no hope. No chance. No way out.

But God made a way.

A trained group flew to the country and helped save their lives from death. It was dangerous and difficult, but they were able to rescue the family and relocate to a new life and enjoy religious freedom.

Ambassador Services International (ASI) played a significant role in rescuing the family out of their death sentence and helped give them a chance to have a new life, where they can freely worship their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The multiple miracles that had to take place are amazing! Any false step, they could have been caught and arrested, and the whole operation failed.

#4 Here is how you can help the “targeted” Church.
