How Artificial Intelligence May Persecute Christians—5 Terrifying Things, You Should Know [Must See Video]

A.I. can be used for good…

But it can also be used for evil.

For Christians, the terrifying reality is it can be used to silence, marginalize, or persecute Christians.

Dr. David Curry is the President and CEO of Global Christian Relief (GCR).

The GCR is an organization that advocates on behalf of those who are persecuted for their Christian faith throughout the world.

When I had dinner with him, one of his primary concerns was how A.I. could be used.

Recently, Curry warned about the dangers of A.I. assaulting religious freedom and how it could be used against Christians.

Here are 5 things you should know…

1) Bad programming creates bad results

There is an old saying, “Garbage in… Garbage out.” That adage holds today for A.I.

People are programming AI, and people have biases. The system also learns from what’s available online.

The problem with this is that we now know that the Big Tech companies have a bias that leans toward the radical socialist, secular worldview.

In fact, Big Tech has been working with the government to censor Conservatives, Christians, Libertarians, Republicans, and anyone else who disagrees with them.

Curry said, “…we’re trying to raise the alarm on the effects that will grow as more and more of these artificial intelligence technologies come online — the way in which the biases and assumptions that are built into this predictive modeling could affect religious faith.”

2) A. I. can be used to punish Christians

Communist China (CCP) is already using A.I. to monitor every movement and every purchase transaction of their citizens. The CCP uses social scoring to control its citizens.

And its target is Christian

s and any other religion challenging the authority of the state.

It impacts their transportation, schools, and jobs.

So, Christians are penalized if they are caught going to an underground church. That could mean that they lose the use of their credit cards or access to their bank account for a period of time determined by the state.

Curry said China is a perfect example, warning that “…their [the CCP’s] use of artificial intelligence to monitor the movement of their population is a clear and present danger. They have a social scoring system which tracks church attendance and can prohibit children under the age of 18 from going to church or, if it can’t prohibit it,

it will certainly punish you in your social score.”

3) The use of “Deep Fake” tech to frame the innocentA deep fake is a photo, audio, or video that A.I. has manipulated to make it appear to be something it’s not.

Deep fakes show actions or activities that never happened. Such videos could create unique threats for the persecuted church, Curry warns.

In many areas worldwide, Christians face persecution based on mere claims; deep fakes could be the smoking gun that gets a Christian killed or a church burned to the ground.

“Blasphemy accusations or mob violence by extremists against Christians is not based on an actual event that happened, but on word of mouth,” Curry said. “Somebody said that they slandered Mohammed, a mob comes, attacks, kills, burns the church down — and it’s done before the facts can catch up.”

4) Terror groups can use AI use to target Christians

Islamic terrorist groups in Africa, the Middle East, and other places worldwide that already persecute Christians will be able to do so more accurately.

They can use technology to target Christians, cut them off from cell phones and technology, and then attack.

“It’s a short leap from that to using autonomous weapons, which already exist,” Curry said, “to make decisions to … attack churches on Sunday morning. We’re just beginning to scratch the surface of how AI will be involved in that.”

5) Using AI to create alternative platforms for ChristiansCurry calls for Christians to create platforms for believers so they can’t be banned on Google or Facebook.

“We have to be clear that the basic biblical story is a challenge to the culture now,” he said. “And I think that’s going to be banned on public platforms in the not-too-distant future.”

“They’ll use all of the censorship, all of the programming assumptions of artificial intelligence, and even predictive policing and weaponry that will make these decisions in the near future,” Curry said.” We’re not looking at a far horizon. I think in the next five to 10 years, you’re going to see this escalate to be maybe the issue of our time.”
