I explained to Ryan how California has “great resources that are not being used” and was an incredibly prosperous state—in fact, if California were a country, it would be the 5th largest economy in the world.

However, California has a bloated $310.8 billion budget and a deficit of $32 billion—Its state debt is $143.73 billion U.S. dollars. By the fiscal year of 2027, this is expected to increase to about 188.54 billion U.S. dollars.

Overspending taxpayer money has forced California to raise taxes and Gov Newsom’s burdensome regulations on businesses have forced a mass migration out of the state– Over 350 thousand businesses have left California in the last year.
