g woke these days, it’s hard to navigate between the ones that are and the ones that aren’t.

Some are easy to spot, like Disney, Bud light, Target, Ben & Jerry’s… because they are high-profile in your face woke. But there are others that slip under the radar.

But never fear. An enterprising entrepreneur has developed an app that allows users to scan items in grocery stores and get a values score to see how woke they are.

The app is called Veebs, and the app is free on the App Store.

Disney, Bud Light, and Target have gotten controversies venturing into woke waters involving the sexual exploitation of children, and now there is an app that can inform consumers if their favorite brands are skinny dipping in these same waters.

Called Veebs, the app is free on the App Store and allows users to scan items in grocery stores and get a values score.

According to their website, there are “new criteria are becoming even more important than ever before — the brand’s

own values. What does the brand ‘stand for’? What values does the brand promote and endorse? The money in consumers’ pockets is precious and hard-earned, the company adds. “Consumers directing their money to brands that also stand for what that consumer stands for? That is values-based shopping™.”

“The scoring methodology used by the App to produce the V Score is a complex calculation that takes into consideration many factors about a particular brand, some objective and some subjective,” the blog post said.

There is an easy-to-understand scoring system that displays a 1-100 score for every brand or product you search or scan in the app.

Here are the V Alignment rating scores:

1-19 … “Bad” (Dark Red)

20-39 “Poor” (Light Red)

40-59 “Low” (Orange)

60-69 “Fair” (Yellow)

70-79 “Good” (Light Green)

80-100 “Great” (Dark Green)

Give it a try, and then let me know what you think in the comment section below.

    1. Thanks Don! It is definitely ‘about time’. We got here as fast as we could! (over two years to develop the app, create the 500k+ product database, and research thousands of brands). We hope you like it!

  1. First off, it’s not free. Secondly & more important, the grocery market that I regularly use is not listed, Stater Brothers. The concept is great, but I hope they expand the choices.

    1. There is certainly a free version which still identifies who the parent company is of hundreds of thousands of products simply by Scanning the product, and also lets you create and save your own Shopping Lists – plus store text Notes against each List & the List auto-sorts by grocery store aisle so the List is usable in the flow of your shopping trip.

Yes, it is 99c per month to view the 1-100 Values Scores. But remember, we don’t monetize any other way. No ads. No selling user data. It’s a 99c insurance policy that the tens of $thousands we spend household shopping each year don’t go to Brands that stand for nothing that you stand for. We think we are offering a lot of value.

    1. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Most of the review are either 5-star or 1-star. We got a lot of national attention shortly after our launch by a progressive social media account who was making fun of conservative users for using the app to identify “woke” brands. Many of that account’s followers took to the App Store for the sole purpose of adding 1-star reviews. The rest of the 1-star reviews are all related to claims that we are a scam app after user data. Despite the fact that our Privacy Policy explicitly states we do NOT sell or share user data, people just assumed it had to be true. We don’t even sell ads on the app.

  2. EF Readers,

We figured you should hear directly from Veebs.

First, thanks for the article and awareness. We always appreciate it. Now let’s cover some topics of interest.

There is a Free 30-Day Trial of premium with activation code ‘1776’. There are also two major features that are Free for all users: 1) a powerful Shopping List feature that auto-sorts by grocery aisle & you can save text notes in each list, 2) Parent company identification with Scan or Search). The app costs 99c per month for the Values Scores of brands, but remember the average family of 4 spends over $2,000 every month on groceries. $24,000 per year out of pocket vs. $12.00 per year to ensure that all that money goes to companies that Don’t Hate You.

We are going to keep adding to the app functions to forever boost value to our Users. COMING SOON: non-UPC ‘Categories’ with Values Scores, like Hotels, Airlines, Restaurants, Banks & Financial Services, Kids Toys, and more.

If a grocery store is not in our database (it means we know their brand inventory data) it doesn’t affect the core function of the Veebs app: Search or Scan a brand or parent company –> get a Values Score. You can even start by Searching the product category to discover which brands have the best score in the sector. You can use the app to do research, use it in the store while you shop to help you choose A vs. B vs. C, or both.

As for our App Store ratings, we got review-bombed by progressives who were angry that the ‘Conservative’ and ‘America First’ Values Packs rate companies poorly if they are woke or not. Another group of people seem to think we mine your personal data and sell it. Our Privacy Policy clearly states we do NOT and will NOT do that. We don’t even show ads on our app because our Customer is our User, and our Product is our Values Scores and NOT your user data. If you notice in the App Store, it’s almost all 5 star ratings and 1 star ratings. You can figure out what happened.

Have more questions? Email us at [email protected].

Use activation code ‘1776’ for a 30-Day no risk Free Trial of the premium functions and you be the judge.

    Have a blessed day,
    Veebs
