Here are 4 things you should know.  The media won’t tell you, but we thought you should know.  Here they are…

1. Courage: Free Bibles for Congress

They were all shocked on the first day of Congress, 52 Republicans and Democrats met on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Cathy McMorris Rogers (Rep-Washington) is the chairwoman.

She said at the end of their first meeting, “Finally, I wanted to give you a book, and invite all of us to read through it together in 2023. It’s an all-time bestseller. I read through it for the first time a few years ago, and it changed my life. My encouragement is for everyone to read this book in their lifetime.”

“So… why not now, in 2023.”

2. South Dakota Bans Child Mutilation Surgeries

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed legislation banning the use of mutilating surgeries and puberty blockers as “treatment” for children allegedly suffering from gender dysphoria.

3. Tennessee Library Director Fired over Mistreatment of Kirk Cameron

The Sumner County Library Board in Tennessee has voted 4-3 to fire Hendersonville Library Director Allan Morales.

Actor and author Kirk Cameron was mistreated during a story hour event at the library.

4. Damar Hamlin Jesus Jacket Controversy

Damar Hamlin addressed the controversial Jesus jacket he wore to Super Bowl LVII. Here’s what he said, “After talking with my parents I understand how my coat could have offended some people. It was never my intention to hurt or disrespect anyone, the coat is abstract art to me. It says Eternal which I am Eternally thankful to my Savior!”

Some Christians criticized the Eternal Saint embroidered unisex bomber varsity jacket, including retired NFL star running back Adrian Peterson, who labeled the piece of clothing blasphemous and “disrespectful.”

Hamlin wanted everyone to know his beliefs and relationship with God are “not tied to symbolic images.”
