After Shelly and I saw Donald Trump speak to Christian leaders, broadcast ministries, megachurches, podcasters, filmmakers, and authors, we saw a “different” Donald Trump in tone… and a candidate who wanted Christian support.
But when I went to social media and the biased media, heads were spinning in anger and fear… Why?
Former President Donald Trump unveiled his plans to “make America greater” during a speech at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB).
I wasn’t sure how the audience would react.
But as Trump unfolded his plans to “save the country,” the Christian leaders became eager and receptive.
Trump expressed his frustration with the lack of faith spreading across the country and urged Christian leaders to “help us get it back and spread the great word of God.” He said, “Religious leaders were tasked to lead and strengthen the country with the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. Today, we are in a struggle for our nation. To win this battle, we need the hand of our Lord and the grace of almighty God.”
Trump’s plan for his second term include:
- Prevent WWIII– Bring peace, not war
- Seal the border and stop the invasion and finish building the Southern border wall
- Deport all of the illegal immigrants and criminals that Biden let into the country
- Use Title 42 to stop child trafficking
- Stop drugs from coming into the country
- Stop Bidenomics by cutting taxes and getting rid of burdensome regulations
- Abolish the JohnsonAmendment that crushes the 1st Amendment rights of pastors
- Become energy independent—Drill Baby Drill!
- Bring back law and order– Overhaul the DOJ and investigate every radical, out-of-control prosecutor
- Institute a Universal School Choice voucher to empower parents, including home-schooling
- Close the Department of Education and move control back to the states
- Keep men out of women’s sports, and stop transgender/LGBTQ ideology in the classroom
- Ban child mutilation in all 50 states
At the end of his speech, Trump urged everyone that we need to “defeat the worst president in American history… So, get out and vote for Trump.”

4 Comments on “Christian Leaders: What Trump Said Made the Biased Media’s Heads Spin”
You left out praying for Trump to come to faith in Christ. Yes he advocates good things & now he is again trying to get the support of Christians. But he had said in 2016 that he didn’t have anything to ask forgiveness for. & that he was a good person. His Christmas speech showed his true colors as he thought of the ignorant Before Christmas as the Christmas story & paraphrased that hatefully.
He appealed to pro-life. & did a lot of good. But bashed DeSantis for signing 6 week abortion ban saying it was too harsh. That is NOT pro-life.
& he is divisive. Sadly younger family members have turned away from Christianity & the Lord apparently because of Evangelical support of Trump. Not the whole reason but a big part of it.
& his lapse confusing Haley & Pelosi is concerning. & I say that being same age as Trump & noticing similar confusion within categories. Getting my generations mixed up k having to stop & re-think. He is obviously way sharper than Biden. & Biden policies are totally bad. But birth should be asked to take a cognitive test to reassure their voters.
& it’s 1 thing for those of us of that age as lay people to have some minor lapses.
But we are not in charge of the country. & a lot can happen in 5 years which is about how long until the end of this upcoming presidential term. It’s not age, but rather cognitive function.
Correction. He thought of the Night Before Christmas as the Christmas story. & he paraphrased that hatefully, totally ignoring the message to the shepherds.
& his bashing DeSantis saying 6 weeks is too harsh. & now proposing compromise of 16 weeks. That Kellyanne Conway suggested.
It would be better to point out Dem PARTY abortion extremism as Trump is doing & not mention a specific limit to compromise on.
I am hopeful that SCOTUS might correct the errors of Roe not knowing when life begins (which was already known at that time) & weigh in that it begins at fertilization & is entitled to human rights. As Blackmun postulated could be the case.
On a more basic issue I find it very concerning the way this election has been manipulated by media & polls.
Before any VOTES were cast we were being told it was going to be Trump vs Biden.
But polls also said that large % didn’t want either of them. Biden because of age & cognition as well as his failures. & Trump because of 1/6 & his bombast & age.
A lot of us appreciate what he did, but also he failed big time in covid which lost him the election.
But we finally got to IA. 1 small state. Yes it was good to whittle down the field.
But DeSantis’ statement when he dropped out that the voters had spoken was disturbing. No only a small % of the voters in 1 small state had actually voted at that point.
This is the 1st election that I have seen that has been so manipulated by polls & media. Polls had been wrong before.
But this time they were self fulfilling. Whoever you support, the nominee should be decided by actual votes. Where were the voices calling for that?
Way before the vast majority had a chance to vote it was down to Trump & Haley & a few others that had never had traction.
Now that the choices were so greatly reduced Trump did continue winning.
& a lot of us in later voting states NEVER or rarely get a voice in deciding who the nominees will be.
But it has been bad enough that only a very few smaller states get to decide who our nominees are going to be. But, again, this time it was the polls & media who manipulated it so it DeSantis & others thought the voters had spoken after only IA ot IA &NH had even voted.
& it was also heavily influenced by all the court cases against Trump that were obviously political. THAT manipulated many who realized how ridiculous they were to mix up defending him against unfair legal attacks vs whether he is the best CANDIDATE. It certainly muddied the waters.
& now it appears we have each party likely to nominate candidates that large % of the population do not like.
Biden has strong dislikes. Not sure how many really even like him. Trump has very strong supporters. & also many even among conservatives who strongly dislike him & do NOT want to vote for him.
Many of us do not like Trump with his name calling & childish behavior. & wobbly pro-life views NOW after all the good before. But true conservatives could NOT vote for other than GOP nominee w the policies of the 2 parties being so radically different.
& it’s kind of a mix. Traditional Dem supporters look at how they were better off under Trump & so many younger & Black voters & Hispanic voters are moving to Trump. But there are also among the younger generation raised Christian too many that have not only been turned off by Trump. But also because of Evangelical support of Trump have turned away from church or even Christ.
Like it or not, supporting Trump because of his professed views we agree with, many Criticize Evangelicals thinking we support everything about him. & some do but many of us don’t support everything.
Wow Kathi, that was long winded! I couldn’t even finish it. I agree that Trump totally screwed up with operation warp speed, but that is not why he lost the election. He actually didn’t lose the election, it was totally democrat fraud. Also, don’t even compare Trump with Biden as far as mental cognition. he is as sharp as ever. What matters is how the country was doing under Trump before the Plandemic. It was doing great! My whole family and I are supporting Trump all the way.
