Most of us use Google every day to do our internet searches.

The term “Google it” has become ubiquitous and part of our lexicon.

Google receives over 276 million unique visitors monthly, or about 86.9% of the U.S. market share—that’s 8.5 billion searches daily.

But are you getting true, unbiased, uncensored, objective results?

I recently spoke with Stacy Washington, host of Stacy on the Right, on her national SiriusXM Patriot radio podcast show about how Google censors its searches and the ramifications for the 2024 presidential election.

Stacy asked me about the new study by the Media Research Center (MRC) revealing that Google has “routinely censored the accounts of conservative candidates and their supporters” and what I thought about the findings… When I told her I wasn’t surprised, she was caught off guard for a few seconds…

I explained to Stacy that in my experience dealing with Google over the years through my ad agency and for my newsletter and podcast, “they had censored me many times.” So, the recent revelation that they were doing it to Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, and Christians didn’t surprise me.

“I’ve seen Google take my content and vanish it from searches,” I told her. “MRC just exposed bias and censorship to everyone with their report. The real problem is that by censoring stories on Hunter Biden’s laptop, for example, they were instrumental in election interference.”

I also said, “There are roughly 20 million low-information voters who are passionate about certain key issues who won’t see any alternative views about those issues… they won’t see any views that Google doesn’t agree with or support.”

We’ve entered an age of deception, I explained, and Google has been part of that deception.

“Ninety-five percent of searches go through Google,” I told Stacy. So, since their [Google’s] analytics are skewed to the left if you search for certain topics like ‘Trump on abortion’ or ‘Trump on Israel,’ the results will bring up sources from CNN, MSNBC, and other liberal media on the first page—75% never click past the first page of search results. You might start finding conservative outlets on page 20, but who will see it?”

“This is a problem for swing voters who are only interested in a particular issue or candidate,” I continued. “Those people are going to get completely skewed information, all leaning toward Google’s radical pro-socialist secular bias. Google’s algorithms are designed to influence thinking, so you won’t get any views or information that Google disagrees with… and won’t know you’re being manipulated.”

I reminded Stacy that this problem wasn’t just relegated to Google searches but to YouTube and Gmail as well.

“Google’s YouTube marginalizes Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, and Christians,” I said. “And Gmail also censors them. Remember when the RNC and Republican candidates couldn’t send out emails to fundraise or send information? It’s another example of election interference because Google is trying to suppress it. When subscribers to my newsletter sign up and give me their Gmail, very few people get my email because it’s censored. It’s a major problem, especially in the upcoming election.

But there is good news. Google is starting to see competition that could give more objective results.”
